I have 19 years of teaching experience in education with diverse populations, ability levels, and socio-economic status.  You name it, I've seen it!  All to the benefit of my students.   For every experience, good or bad, I am able to take away something to learn from it that in turn transforms my teaching.  

Who am I to provide educational advise?  I am a scientist at heart.  I am not afraid to bomb a lesson, learn from my mistakes, and start over.  Through my years of teaching I have learned a lot.   It's time for me share my experiences, so we can grow together on this adventure of inspiring learners at any age!  

Why a unicorn?  Some teachers/people go above and beyond, ever looking like the mythical creature.   This character trait is not something we are born with but are able to develop.  No one person is a unicorn in all areas or at all times, but we can be tap into this magical essence, if we try.
